Hi, I'm Jake, an accredited psychotherapeutic counsellor (MNCPS Acc.). As well as working online, I see clients face to face on Monday evenings in Battle. Some people find it easier to talk in a room, away from home and the people they live with, and that's exactly what these sessions offer.
What sessions are like
Sessions take place in a private therapy room at Rooftops Therapy & Wellbeing Rooms, a dedicated venue for counselling and wellbeing practitioners. Each session lasts 50 minutes, at the same time each week. Whatever's weighing on you, we can take it at your pace, with no pressure and no judgement.
I work integratively, which means I draw on different approaches to suit you rather than fitting you to one method. Everything you share is confidential, within the limits we'll talk through at the start, and I work within the NCPS Code of Ethics with regular clinical supervision.
How to get started
- Book a free 20-minute introductory call by video or phone. You can tell me a little about what's going on and ask anything you like. There's no obligation.
- Choose a regular Monday evening time if we decide to work together.
- Come to your first session at Rooftops, where we'll talk about what's brought you here and what you'd like from counselling.
Getting there
Rooftops is at Suite 1, 17 High Street, Battle, TN33 0AE (open in Google Maps).
- By train: Battle railway station is about a 14-minute walk away.
- By car: free parking is available at Mount Street Car Park, about a 3-minute walk away.
- Access: there are steps up to the therapy room. If steps are difficult for you, just mention it in our introductory call. We can talk through the options, including online sessions.
Prefer online, or can't make Mondays?
I also offer online counselling by video on other evenings and on Saturday mornings, for people anywhere in the UK. If you're not sure which would suit you, my article Is online counselling right for me? may help, or we can talk it through in the introductory call.
